Ok I've been neglecting this blog for a while now, but I have some meals to write about and will do so tomorrow. Tonight I'm having a guest over for a meal that I have tweaked so much he won't recognize it as what I told him we're having ;( Lets see how it all turns out....

FIsh cakes, fish cakes, very spicy fish cakes
Tonight Ellie and I were on our own for dinner so we decided we'd make crab cakes and have them with a salad for dinner.
Unfortunately we couldn't find any crab so we made crawfish cakes instead.
They consist of crawfish, spring onion, birds eye chilli peppers and freshly ground black pepper. After dipping in egg and breadcrumbs they were fried in a little oil till golden.

I couldn't finish my as they were too spicy for me. I felt like my tongue was bleeding and my esophagus is currently behaving like a thermal reactor. Ellie inhaled hers. She thinks that it seemed so spicy to me because I'm getting over a cold. I have NEVER had anything that spicy EVER. I seriously feel like I swallowed a fiery sword.
The cakes were chocked full of lumps of crawfish, which I love, and so I am going to make them again, minus the insanely hot peppers.
